The first time you light your candle, let it burn for 2-4 hours to allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the container. This will prevent your candle from tunneling.
Wood Wick: Make sure your wick is trimmed to 1/8" - 3/16" prior to each lighting. If your wick is too long it may cause performance issues. The easiest was to trim your wood wick is to pinch off the spent wick with your fingers. The wick will naturally break off where it needs to. After burning, if you find the flame has become very small or too large, extinguish the candle and allow to cool completely, Pinch the spent end of the wick and relight.
CANDLE CARE & SAFETY
Recommendations and safety measures to fully enjoy your candle experience.
Wood Wick: Make sure your wick is trimmed to 1/8" prior to each lighting. If your wick is too long, it may cause performance issues.
First Lighting: The first time you light your candle, let it burn for 2-4 hours to allow the melted wax to reach the edge of the container (a full melt pool) to prevent your candle from tunneling.
Burning Candle: Always burn candles within sight and keep away from children and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Candles should not be burned for more than four hours at a time. Extinguish candle before going to sleep. Discontinue burning candle when approximately 1/4" of wax remains in the container.
Extinguishing Candle: Gently blow out or use a candle snuffer to extinguish flame.
Trimming Wick: When candle is unlit and wax is cooled, use scissors, a wick trimmer, or your pinched fingers to trim the wick. If using your fingers, a tissue helps when you pinch the tip of the wick off to catch the spent wick debris.
Never drop used matches or any other items/debris in the candle.
Burn candle on a stable, fire & heat resistant surface. Never place a burning candle on a surface that could be damaged by oil or heat or is flammable.
Keep candles clear of curtains or anything near that could ignite. Do not burn candles in/near a draft.
Never move a burning candle. Before moving, allow the candle to cool and wax to solidify. The candle vessel/jar and wax become extremely hot during use.
